Coach Aaron Garrette
Coach Garrette was born in Oakland, California where he
attended Anna Yates Elementary. In his last
year of elementary school, he moved to San Francisco and attended Sunset
Elementary. Aaron then went on to the
neighboring middle school, A.P. Giannini, where he led the boys basketball team
to back to back playoff and championship appearances. There he received high academic as well as
athletic achievements leading him to being nominated as one of the top middle
school players in the United States. In
turn, he was sent to Paris, France at age 13 to compete against other top middle
school players from other countries.
Coach Garrette attended George Washington High School in San Francisco where he led the varsity basketball team to numerous playoff appearances and earned MVP and All City Honors. After graduating in 2008, Aaron continued his schooling at California State University, Sacramento where he earned a BA in Psychology.
Coach Garrette has always had a passion for working with youth and has 6+ years working with kids in the classroom setting: teaching, tutoring and coaching. He has trained with pro, college, and high school athletes, and hopes to continue his own athletic career in the near future. Coach Garrette believes that athletics can teach people life skills that will drastically benefit their future as well as provide a fun nurturing environment. His passion is to train the youth not only how to be an amazing athlete, but an amazing student and contributor to society as well.
